Referrers: pay commission to people who send you customers

Keep a list of people or businesses who bring you customers, and see what commission each has earned.

A referrer is someone outside your business who sends customers your way and earns a percentage of what those customers spend. For example: a contractor who sends clients to your trade counter, or a tour guide who brings visitors to your shop.

Most businesses do not use this. If you do not pay anyone for introductions, you can skip this page.

Add a referrer

  1. Go to TeamReferrersCreate.
  2. Type their Name and contact details.
  3. Type their Commission (%).
  4. Save.

Credit a sale to a referrer

  • On one sale: on the register, click the orange person button, choose Referrer, and pick them.
  • On every sale to a customer: edit the customer, choose the Referrer, and set Add Referrer Till Date to the day the arrangement ends. Every sale to that customer until then is credited automatically.

See what you owe

ReportsCommissionReferrers shows each referrer's sales and commission for the dates you choose. See Commission reports.

Good to know

This is different from the Quid Referral Program, which rewards you for recommending Quid to other businesses. See Recommend Quid and earn (referral and affiliate programmes).
