Sales by Type and Category
See which departments of your shop bring in the most money and profit.
Where to find it Open this screen in Quid POS
Go to and choose your dates.
Instead of one line per item, this report has one line per group: each Type, with its Categories and Sub-categories underneath. For each group you see the quantity sold, the sales value and the profit.
Use it to answer questions like:
- Which department earns the most?
- Is a department taking up shelf space without earning its keep?
- Did the plumbing promotion last month actually lift plumbing sales?
This report is only as good as your groups. If everything is in one Type, there is nothing to compare. See Organise your items into groups (Types and Categories).
