Send a quote, invoice or statement as a PDF
Make a full-page document with your logo, and send it by email or WhatsApp.
A PDF is a document file that looks the same on every phone and computer and is easy to print. Quid can make four kinds:
- a Quotation from a quote,
- an Order confirmation from an order,
- an Invoice from a sale,
- a Statement of account for a customer. See Send a customer a statement of account.
Each has your logo and business details at the top, the customer's details, the lines with prices and tax, the total, and your terms at the bottom.
Open or download the PDF
- For a quote or order: go to and click PDF on its row.
- For a finished sale: go to , click Details on the sale, then PDF.
The document opens in a new tab. From there you can print it or save it using your browser's own buttons.
Email it
- Open the quote, order or sale (click its name, or Details).
- Click Email PDF.
- Check the email address. If the customer has one on file it is already filled in.
- Add a short message if you want.
- Click Send.
The customer gets an email from your business name with the PDF attached, and a link to open it online.
Send it by WhatsApp
- Click WhatsApp on the row (or inside the document's page).
- WhatsApp opens with a ready-made message and a link. If the customer's phone number is on file, the chat with them opens directly.
- Press send in WhatsApp.
The link works for 7 days and can be opened without logging in. Anyone who has the link can see that one document, so send it only to the customer.
For WhatsApp to open the right chat, save customers' phone numbers with the country code, for example +63 917 000 0000.
Put your logo, details and terms on the document
- Logo, name, address, phone, tax number: . See Your business details and logo.
- Terms at the bottom (bank details, how long the quote is valid, delivery and payment terms): , in the box Terms on PDF documents. See Tax, receipt and register options (Preferences).
The customer says the link does not work.
Links stop working after 7 days. Send it again to make a new link.
The email did not arrive.
Ask the customer to look in their spam folder, and check the address for typing mistakes. If it still does not arrive, send the WhatsApp link or download the PDF and attach it to an email of your own.
